It was a bit of a scramble to get the parts to build it up but I was missing only one part that my friend Jeff at All Mountain Cyclery had, to my surprise. Who has a Chris King inset upper cup for a tapered head tube? Jeff had 3, Black, Pink and my Navy! YES! AMC was nice enough to let me use the press and I was good to go. I took it up Girl Scout to start, around Caldera and back on West Leg. Sweet ride and loving the new frame. Saturday we got a little rain and the trails actually had what resembles grip. The smell of rain in the desert is something that must be experienced.

I couldn’t get enough, I rode some classics like Armageddon and Poop Shoot, a new, to me, cutoff that leads to the bottom half of Ginger (you get the last two supersweet drops without all the danger stuff) and as always the Birthing Canal. All the Lake View trails where buff as ever and so much fun with all the rollers. Jeff took me down Power Pole which hadn’t been on in years. I forgot how fun that one is and the mountain goats are everywhere on that trail right now! I even got a lap in on West Leg right before dark. I feel like a gluttin, there was only a couple trails I missed but still not feeling quite done.

The ride? Canfield Brothers One. What’s it for? Anything a you you want! Up or down, don’t let your bike rob your energy. I am at the factory this month assembling all the Jedi myself- Just wanted to give this seasons frame the personal touch that only I can do- What you can expect with your new frame- is that I put it together- the bolts have been blue locktited and torqued down perfect-

Which means a whole season of tight pivot bolts- I never have to check mine when I do this to my race bike.

“Canfield Jedi F1….

I have to write this to let everyone know how awesome these bikes are. I had
been riding mountain bikes for about 6 months and really loved the
downhill/freeride aspect most so decided to buy a big travel single pivot
bike and enjoyed that for about 10 months, then the opportunity came up to
get my hands on a Canfield Jedi F1 and how do I put this into words, here
goes from the very first ride, my riding experience went from enjoying
riding, to how long till I finish work so I can get out on the Jedi. And my
confidence went up within a few rides was hitting jumps that I normally rode
around, wow corners the grip and traction is incredible the back wheel never
breaks out and it eats rock gardens and roots ( which always used to stuff
me ) now hitting them like there not there. They say at Canfield Bikes that
one of there bikes will change your life and that is so true. 

I would say to anybody looking at getting a Canfield bike, don't hesitate
and get your order in....
