Canfield Brothers have recently been experimenting with the new Fox RP23 8.5 x 2.5″ rear shock. This shock is now a new option for customers. The smaller eye to eye and stroke result in a 6.5″-7.5″ travel bike that is more aimed towards all-mountain. Weight savings are 1.25 lbs over the Fox RC4 coil. As our demo bike sits it weighs in at 32lbs and has plenty of areas to lose weight (wheelset, tires, tubes,crankset). It is quite possible to get this bike under 30lbs with 6.5″-7.5″ travel. Frames are now available with this shock at the same price as the RC4.
